ALEP – the association for professionals involved in leasehold enfranchisement – is embracing social media in order to keep in touch with members and other professionals in leasehold enfranchisement. The new Twitter feed (@alepofficial) will carry the latest enfranchisement news and information about the association and its members.
Professionals can follow the ALEP feed to keep up-to-date as well as use it to give the association feedback and open up a dialogue with those running the association. We hope that it will also give a chance to members and other interested parties to come together and discuss in real time the latest news and events.
ALEP also has its own identity on professional social media site LinkedIn. ALEP intends to use the ALEP Group on the site as a forum to better engage members and to start discussions that will guide the association’s growth and development.
These developments in social media will be reinforced by a special educational session at the October conference. The additional event in the morning will provide an opportunity for both members and non-members to get started with their social media strategies: participants will be encouraged to bring their laptops and connect to the WiFi network at the venue and work on their new social media accounts live.
